Origin of tea: Uttarakhand, India

Available as:  50g loose leaf

Taste notes: Balmy, Warm, Soothing. Be gentle in handling the flowers. The dust at the bottom is the pollen from the chamomile flower and completely safe to consume. It contributes to the flavour profile of the Chamomile.

Serving suggestions: Pairs well with a good book. We sipped ours with a Ruskin Bond. Best served warm with half a teaspoon of honey. You may also have it without any sweeteners, but never with milk.

Brewing instructions: 

Add 1 teaspoon or 1 tea bag per cup (150ml). Always pour hot water (80°C) on the tea leaves and not the other way around. Steep for 2-3 minutes. All our teas in tea bags or loose leaf can be rebrewed. Just add hot water and steep for longer than the first steep

Storage advice: Store in the foil pouch in the tea tin or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place.If not consumed immediately teas should be stored in the refrigerator.

If storing in the refrigerator/ freezer, pack in small completely airtight packets or jars. Before use, wait for the tea to reach room temperature to prevent any condensation.

    Loose Leaves and Teabags once used need to be stored in a cool dry place, or you can store them in a little water in the fridge, the loose leaves/tea bags will last for 4-5 days. To rebrew the tea just add hot water and steep for longer than the first steep.

  • Can I use the same tea leaves again to rebrew and prepare another cup of tea

    Yes, all our teas can be rebrewed 2-3 times. Just add hot water and steep for longer than the first cup.

  • Can this tea be given to a teething baby ?

    Yes, this tea can be given to teething babies as a tonic in small quantities. It is known to have a soothing and calming effect on them.

  • I have been drinking matcha green tea regularly in the morning empty stomach. And as it contains caffeine in high amount so i want to ask does caffeine causes acne or breakouts?

    As Matcha is high in caffeine we do not recommend it on an empty stomach. Matcha is loaded with antioxidants EGCG and catechins which absorb into the skin to fight the sebum and bacteria that cause acne. You can also make a paste with Matcha and apply it topically to reduce inflammation from acne.

  • Does this tea reduce creatinine?

    Some studies show that drinking this tea daily reduces creatinine. However, we would recommend consulting a physician before buying it for this purpose.

    Each tea samplers contains 10g of loose leaf tea.
